Coming from the American Heartland, Sam Maxwell's images have graced gift ware and calendars worldwide for over 25 years. After years as an on-air radio personality in cities like Kansas City, San Antonio and Houston, Sam followed his artistic calling in 1981 to Los Angeles. While in school at UCLA, he was hired for his first professional work as a photographer by Los Angeles Magazine. It wasn't long before the folks at PLAYBOY took notice of Sam's artistic talents and hired him on staff shooting for the magazine and the newly launched Playboy Video. Sam's work shooting beautiful women for Playboy garnered opportunities of working with many Hollywood celebrities with a range from Pamela Anderson to Zsa Zsa Gabor.

While shooting for Playboy he was also commissioned to photograph over 30 "door posters" of the Playboy Playmates. This was a major turning point in Sam's photographic career. Shooting these first series of pin-up posters allowed Sam the opportunity to not only be the "man behind the camera", but the art director with total creative control on the set. This style of photo work lured him away from being what he considered another "cookie cutter" hired gun for a corporate giant to instead being an independent artist with endless creative possibilities.

Now, over 25 years later, Sam's work as one of the leading American glamour photographers can be seen in posters, calendars, greeting cards and what seems to be an endless array of products worldwide. With nearly 400 posters to his credit, it easily makes him one of the worlds most prolific popular photographers. From Playboy to Penthouse to Hallmark Cards, Sam's work has become that of an industry icon.

With his recent move to Las Vegas, Sam has taken on new challenges in the fashion marketplace. His Sin City Kitty line of apparel has been recently launched in Las Vegas. "It's good to be bad!" and these sexy clothes for women out on the town for fun are an instant Vegas hit! And this is only the beginning of what he promises to be a lot more exciting work just around the corner. It's been a wild and entertaining ride for Sam Maxwell...and there's no sign of him slowing down any time soon!
